Anxiety is often felt in very physical terms and unfortunately it's extremely common. I teach at the School of Psychotherapy in University College Dublin and last week the class asked me what I thought the 'dis-ease' du jour is. I din't have to think for very long.
Anxiety is a big issue for so many people. In my clinic it is something I help people work through on a daily basis. If you, or someone you know is suffering from anxiety, then I encourage you to watch this TED talk. This woman changed her story and managed to overcome the debilitating effects of anxiety. If you're amazed that she's standing up and giving a TED talk when she used to suffer from agoraphobia, then know this- you can overcome your anxiety too.
